There's a crispness in the air that wasn't here before Easter. The locals tell me this is what Autumn feels like in Sydney. Cloudless skies + 25 degrees = an Autumn I can ease into nicely. The cooling temperature is however, piquing my interest in all things cosy. And what's more cosy than felt?

Last week I discovered these felted cacti at the Knit Knot Weave textile exhibition up the road at Lane Cove Gallery. Quite lovely, by Pru Gudex.

Whilst I'm at it, here are a few more beauties I came across recently...This collection's by the talented Sarah Mandell at Once Again Sam.

And this felted cactus doll from Fing. ADORE. This is so delightful that if one of my children had been born looking like this, I'd still love him.

For sale from the And Made shop are these perfectly proportioned pin cushions:

What's not to love about the exasperated Mr Cactus, a felted finger puppet, by Hanaletters. Or is he celebrating a well-deserved win across the 5000m finish line? Or perhaps he's just thrashed his judo opponent? Oh I don't know. I'll leave it with you.

And one with a removable pot from Jeanette Lim's book. Honestly, whatever next? I really want one, but with 43 separate pieces, it's not really very likely that I'm ever going to make one.
