Circular Quay is one of my favourite places to visit with my son (who is obsessed with boats). Touristy yes, but vibrant and open, it feels like I'm looking out at the edge of the world. In a good way.

Between the ferry port and Harbour Bridge is the Museum of Contemporary Art where we go most weeks for a bit of stacking and prodding while his brothers are at school. This week the new interactive commission by Hiromi Tango was unveiled: yarn-wrapped trees, musical touch-screens, knitted characters and a suffolk puff or two made for a very enjoyable hour. We also had time for a game of dominoes. I thought I'd share a few of the highlights.

What a nice spot for a 3-year-old.
